‘Jaundice outbreak almost under control, cases declining

Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Health Minister Kaul Singh Thakur today said the number of jaundice cases here has started declining sharply from February 15 and the outbreak was “almost” under control.

Presiding over a high level meeting of senior officers of various departments, he said “the coordinated efforts of various departments yielded results and the jaundice outbreak is almost under control”.

“The number has started declining sharply February 15 onwards,” he said.

He hoped the spread of the disease in Solan city would also be brought under control within 10-15 days.
