Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research Fellowship 2017 is providing an opportunity to the students of 1st year B.Sc to take part in its Science Outreach Programme. In 2006 the Centre initiated a new programme in biology for undergraduate students from other Institutions. The selected students are exposed to the concepts and methodologies driving integrative research in biology today, through a combination of lectures, laboratory projects and research. The programme will be conducted during the summer vacation for a period of 6 to 8 weeks. The students selected are expected to work at the Centre for three consecutive summers and will receive Rs 6000 per month for Diploma in Biology from the centre. The students who complete the POBE programme with outstanding performance will be eligible for admission to the MS-PhD programme of the Centre subject to a satisfactory performance in the interview.
