Chennai : Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) general secretary Jayalalithaa on Thursday paid floral tributes to her political mentor and party founder MG Ramachandran at his memorial on Marina on the occasion of his 28th death anniversary.
Jayalalithaa arrived at the MGR memorial and paid floral tributes to the late leader.
Later, AIADMK functionaries including state ministers took pledges and also hailed the achievements of the government headed by Jayalalithaa.
Finance and PWD Minister O Panneerselvam read out the pledges and others repeated them. After taking the pledges, the cadre observed silence as a mark of respect for the late leader (ANI)
