JBT teachers showed black flags at Amit Shah at ‘Gaurav rally’

Junior Basic Training (JBT) teachers showed black flags to BJP chief Amit Shah at a ‘Gaurav rally’ despite ban over the entry of people wearing or carrying black clothes.

Police has seized several black coloured items, including handkerchiefs, SSP Shashank Anand said few agitators carrying black cloth were arrested. He said scissors, knives, lighters, blades, crackers and bottles of liquor were recovered.

The JBT teachers have been demanding regularisation of their jobs and was on strike for nearly three months.

They said the BJP government in the state, led by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, had talks with them and “issued letters to make their job permanent but the appointment orders have not been issued”.
