Jharkhand man gifts toilet to sister on Rakshabandhan

Ranchi: Pintu, a resident of Jharkhand’s Ramgarh district constructed a toilet for his sister on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. “I think open defecation is not healthy, and Prime Miniter Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat mission also says the same thing. I have gifted the toilet to my sister and wanted more people to notice that and do the same.”

Building toilets in rural India is one of PM Modi’s maiden projects under the Swachha Bharat Mission. The campaign aims to achieve defecation free India till 2019. Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu launched the Swachh Survekshan 2017 earlier in August and urged the people to participate in the national campaign.
