J&K: Army foils infiltration bid in Machil sector

Kupwara (Jammu and Kashmir): The Indian Army on Tuesday foiled yet another infiltration bid by Pakistan in Machil sector of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

This comes after an infiltration bid was foiled by the Army at Gurez sector earlier today, in which two terrorists were killed.

According to sources, the army foiled the infiltration bid by heavily firing on infiltrators, who then fled back towards other side of the fence.

The army has recovered arms and ammunition from the spot.

Meanwhile, an Army Jawan who was critically injured in the firing along LoC in Jammu and Kashmir’s Nowgam sector today succumbed to his injuries.

Pakistan Army today initiated unprovoked and indiscriminate firing of small arms, automatics and mortars from in state’s Naushera sector along the Line of Control (LoC).

Pakistan also violated ceasefire in Bhimber Gali and Poonch Sector of the state today.

Yesterday, Commandant-Wing Cadre level flag meeting was held between India’s Border Security Force (BSF) and Pakistan Rangers on international boundary in the Samba area of Jammu and Kashmir. (ANI)
