JNU and HCU have perform ‘quite well’ in ranking of Indian educational institutions

New Delhi: The Jawaharlal Nehru University and University of Hyderabad are learnt to have performed quite well in ranking of Indian educational institutions, which will be released on Monday.

Sources in Human Resources Development Ministry said that nearly 3,500 institutions will be ranked in six categories. It is learnt there will be separate categories for technical institutions, management institutions and universities.

Research is one of the significant yardsticks in the ranking process and both the JNU and University of Hyderabad have performed quite well, the sources said.

The University of Hyderabad and JNU were in the news recently over the death of Rohith Vemula and sedition row, respectively.
