Jordan general, UAE envoy call on Pak Army Chief

Rawalpindi [Pakistan]: Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, General Qamar Javed Bajwa met Lieutenant General Mahmoud A. Fraihat, Chairman Joint Chief of Staff, Jordan Armed Forces, and Essa Abdullah Al Basha Al-Noaimi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Pakistan at the General Headquarters, Rawalpindi, on Tuesday.

An Inter-Services Public Relations release said that matters of mutual interest, including strengthening of bilateral security and defence cooperation between Pakistan and Jordan were discussed by the two generals.

In the meeting with the UAE envoy, General Qamar Javed Bajwa discussed matters of mutual interest, including regional security issues. The visiting dignitary, who was making a farewell call, acknowledged and appreciated Pakistan Army’s contributions for peace and stability in the region and pledged to keep working for better relations between two brotherly nations, the ISPR release said.
