Jupally Krishna Rao on Friday assumed charge as the new minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development.
Speaking to media persons at the State Secretariat later, Jupally said that the State Government plans to improve life in rural areas by creating more employment opportunities. He said that the rural population was badly affected due to drought and other factors. Therefore, he said an Experts’ Group would be assigned the task of identifying new opportunities in rural areas.
Jupally said Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has given specific instructions with regard to development and industrialisation in rural areas. (INN)
