Panchayat Raj Minister Jupally Krishna Rao said that the State Government would use latest technology to lay roads in Telangana State.
Speaking at a review meeting of his department at the office of Chief Engineer of PR Department here on Monday, the minister said that government would black list the contractors if their works are found to be of sub-standard quality. He said that the State Government would go for BT roads construction for speedy works and added besides laying 12,000 KM BT roads , 2,000 KM metal roads were converted to BT road. He said that works for roads to the tune of Rs 5,000 crore were sanctioned by the PR department of which Rs 3,000 crore were completed.
Senior PR department officials and officials from 31 districts were present in the review meeting. (INN)
