Jupally says more Congress leaders to join TRS

Launching a blitzkrieg at Congress leaders for criticizing the ruling party on continuing defections, Minister Jupally Krishna Rao said the former have no moral right to talk on democracy and values in politics.

Addressing the media at the TRS headquarters, Telangana Bhavan, here on Friday, Jupally said a few more leaders are set to join the ruling party soon. He accused the Congress leaders of having looted people and even beggars unmindful of their plight and problems. Reacting on Congress leader DK Aruna’s comments against the TRS, Jupally alleged that Congress leaders had minted crores of rupees by forgetting to serve the people.

“Why the Congress forgot democratic values while welcoming leaders from other parties into its fold”, he asked. The minister also alleged that during the Congress rule, that party leaders pocketed the funds meant for welfare and development programs. The Congress leaders’ comments and criticism, he said, are aimed at gaining political mileage. Congress Chief Uttam Kumar Reddy, CLP Leader K Jana Reddy and former minister D K Aruna have no right to talk about political values and defections, he said. The Congress is noted for engineering defections to pull down legally elected governments, he alleged. (NSS)
