Kadapa Police arrested 11 bookies for cricket betting including four from Hyderabad

Kurnool: 11 bookies were arrested for allegedly organising cricket betting in Kadapa, Hyderabad and Goa after Kadapa Police raided a house at Modemeedipalle in Pathakadapa.

B. Satya Yesubabu, Additional SP for Operations said that Police has seized cash of Rs 38.15 lakhs including a communicator with 26 Mobile Phone connections, three laptops, a television set and 21 mobile phones from the accused on Monday.

The 11 accused arrested were Ambavaram Madhava Reddy from Modemeedipalle in Pathakadapa, Jillella Venkata Konda Reddy and Gangula Nagendra Reddy from Jillella village, Jillella Subbi Reddy from Pedda Jonnaram village, Makam Subbarayudu and Yerragolla Krishnaiah from Tadigotla and Sudha Sivarami Reddy of Yerramachupalli in Chintakommadinne Mandal of Kadapa district. Madinaguda, all the four from Hyderabad were also arrested said Additional SP.

The accused organised betting for different cricket tournaments and operated from Kadapa, Hyderabad and Goa said the officials, The Hindu reported.
