Kanhaiaya denied entry into HCU campus

Hyderabad: JNU Students’ Union leader Kanhaiya Kumar was denied entry into the campus of University of Hyderabad on Wednesday evening.

Accompanied with Rohit Vemula’s mother Radhika, brother Raja and CPI National Secretary Narayana, Kanhaiya reached the UoH campus on Wednesday evening. However, he was stopped at the main gate by the Cyberabad Police.

Speaking to media persons, Kanhaiya condemned the denial of permission to enter into the university. He said it was highly condemnable that a student was being denied permission to enter a university. He vowed to struggle to get Rohit Act passed to ensure eradication of caste discrimination in educational institutions.

CPI leader Narayana also condemned the denial of permission and objected to heavy deployment of police personnel at the HCU. (INN)
