Kanhaiya Kumar in Bihar, protest against Nitish govt, targets PM Modi over his degree

Patna: Ahead of the toppers scam in Bihar where the students careers getting jeopardised and education system is being reduced to a farce. JNU Students’ Union president Kanhaiya Kumar who was on 2- day visit to Bihar, criticised the state government and held a protest march in Patna.

He questioned the Nitish Kumar over the poor condition of education system in his home state.

Kanhaiya also attacked Modi government and HRD mibister Smriti Irani over their degrees.

He said.” Toppers scam speaks volume about the apathy of education system in the state but the bigger apathy is when questions are raised over the degree of the PM and HRD Minister of the country. It is a matter of shame. I don’t know whether the degree of PM is real or fake, i don’t know whether the PM has attained education or not but questions are being raised over his degree.”

He also demanded release of eight All India Students Federation (AISF) members, who were arrested earlier this month following a scuffle with members of JD(U) students wing at the Patna Arts College.

He said.” Nitish Kumar has to open his eyes. If he does not listen to students then students will not listen to you. Nitisgh should sack the principal of Arts college if he is corrupt as the students are alleging.”
