New Delhi: Karvan-e-Aman bus service which plies between Srinagar and Muzaffarabad has been suspended in view of Eid-ul-Fitr. Govt. sources indicated that this decision has been taken with the mutual consent of both the countries. The passengers were already informed about it.
This is the third time that the bus service between Srinagar and Muzzaffarabad could not run. On the first occasion on 14th March, it was suspended due to landslides. It was suspended on 4th April on the occasion of former Pakistani PM, Mr. Zulfakhar Ali Bhutto’s death anniversary.
It may be mentioned that this weekly bus service was started on 7th April 2005. It was facilitating thousands of passengers who used to go to Pakistan to meet their relatives.
