TRS MP K. Kavitha raised the issue of shortage of medicine supply in Telangana and the other Sates too in Lok Sabha on Tuesday.
Kavitha said that the Telangana Government has been receiving complaints of shortage of medicine supply. She said that although the cost of medicine and quality were good, but the quantity being supplied by the Centre was unable to meet the demand. She also pointed out there was no store in Telangana to supply the medicines to be produced under “Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Yojna”.
She requested the Central Government to permit State to outsource the medicines from private pharmaceuticals company’s who manufactures generic medicine to meet the urgent needs. (INN)
