AICC Spokesperson and ex-MP Madhu Yashki Goud has alleged that TRS MP K. Kavitha was misleading the turmeric farmers of Nizamabad district.
Addressing a press conference in Congress Bhavan here on Wednesday, Madhu Yashki said that Kavitha invited three Union Ministers on November 15, 2015, to lay the foundation for Turmeric Board. A year later, she brought Patanjali CEO Balakrishna to Nizamabad claiming that the Patanjali would be setting up its plant in the district to help turmeric farmers. He alleged that Balakrishna was a controversial personality and there was confusion over his nationality. There is no clarity whether Balakrishna is an Indian or Nepali, he alleged. Further, he alleged that Balarkrishna had went to jail in a murder case. In this background, he said Kavitha was openly misleading the people on boosting turmeric industry in the district.
Madhu Yashki said that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and his family members were giving misleading statements on industrialisation in the State. For instance, he said while KCR has claimed that 1060 industries have invested Rs. 45,000 crore in the State, KTR gave a statement that 2005 companies have come forward to set up their business in Telangana. Similarly, he said Kavitha had claimed that 89 industries were set up in Nizamabad. However, they included small poultry and cattle distribution units. Likewise, he said Kavitha had misled the people of Turmeric Board.
The Congress leader said that the State Government did nothing to revive the historic Nizam Sugar Factory whose closure drove four persons to suicide. He said that the KCR family was not silent on Nizam Sugar Factory revival, but giving misleading statements on new industries.
Madhu Yashki also slammed Prime Minsiter Narendra Modi for unplanned demonitisation of Rs. 1000 and Rs. 500 currency notes. He said that the move has badly hit the common man and the Prime Minister has even put his 97-year-old mother into trouble.
