Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao on Monday directed all District Collectors to organise grand celebrations of Telangana Formation Day on June 2.
KCR said that the State Government has sanctioned Rs. 30 lakh for each district for the TS Formation Day celebrations. He said that the event should be celebrated by hosting national flag at all government offices. Besides distribution of sweets, fruits should be distributed among poor in all orphanages and hospitals.
The Chief Minister said the family members of Telangana martyrs would be felicitated and one member of the family would be handed over appointment letter of government job on the occasion.
He also reviewed the implementation of Kalyana Lakshmi scheme and asked the officials to take immediate steps to prevent irregularities. He advised that cheques should be issued in the name of bride’s mother and steps should be taken to receive the applications 20 days before the marriage and release of amount before marriage. (INN)
