KCR deceived people on HC row: Madhu Yashki

Nizamabad: Congress former MP Madhu Yashki Goud today alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has deceived people of the State by not taking up with Prime Minister Narendra Modi the high court bifurcation issue during Inter-State Council Meeting in Delhi on Saturday.

Talking to the media here, Madhu Yashki Goud slammed the Chief Minister for failing to take up the High Court bifurcation issue with the Centre which is yet to take a call on the controversial issue. Though KCR warned of taking up a massive protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi on the same issue, he forgot to talk on the same with the Prime Minister, he alleged.

It is mentioned in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act that the two Telugu Chief Ministers can hold talks with Chief Justice of India to bifurcate the High Court, he said. Despite this, the Centre was unable to find time to address the problem which was forcing the legal fraternity in Telangana to take to streets, the Congress leader charged. It never happened in the history that the lawyers took to streets for separate High Court and got suspended though KCR and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu are reluctant to sit across the table to sort out the issue, he pointed out.
