KCR harassing OU students: Jagga demands GO withdrawal

Hyderabad: Alleging that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was harassing Osmania University students, Sangareddy former MLA T Jagga Reddy has opined that the former issued a G.O. to ensure that public meetings of the students were not to be conducted on the campus as the Chief Minister was not in a position to go to the University.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Sunday, Jagga Reddy said that the students would chase the Chief Minister. The State government issued G.O. on conducting meetings in Osmania University only after Congress party’s announcement that AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi’s public meeting would be conducted on the campus, he said. Making it clear that the Congress party would conduct a meeting in the Osmania University under the leadership of TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy at any cost, Jagga Reddy said the Congress would stand by the students.
He faulted the Chief Minister for putting conditions on the University “forgetting that the creation of separate Telangana was possible with the OU students”. He demanded that the State government withdraw the G.O immediately. (NSS)
