KCR plans five-day session

Close on the heels of Assembly session to be convened on August 30 at 11 am for passing the GST Bill Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao with a plan to conduct the house for a few more days, has moved to his Erravalli Farm House in Medak district. KCR is likely to take a couple of days rest until the Assembly begins on Tuesday. Known for his penchant for agriculture the chief minister is ought to look into the related activities at the farm house. It is touted as that the government is keen on conducting another four days of Assembly session to inform the house about signing pact with Maharashtra for constructing reservoirs on Godavari and other rivulets.

To pre-empt the opposition’s rhetoric the treasury benches plan to corner the Congress and the TTDP during the session, besides taking up other key issues. Keeping this in view the chief minister is camping at the Farm House and focusing on the rest of the session for about four days after passing the GST Bill on Aug 30. KCR has asked Assembly Affairs Minister T Harish Rao, Speaker S Madhusudhan Chary, Council Chairman to make necessary arrangements for the house. (NSS)
