KCR promises 10 Acres land, Rs. 10 Crore for Reddy Hostel

Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao praised the role played by Reddy community in the development of Telangana.

Addressing the Platinum Jubilee celebrations of Reddy Jan Sangham Samaj Seva at Aliabad in the Old City on Sunday, the Chief Minister said that that Jan Sangham has been serving the society for the last 75 years. He said several prominent personalities of Reddy community have played a key role in the development of Telangana. However, their services were never recognised during the united Andhra Pradesh. However, he promised to install statues of leaders including Rao Bahadur Venkatram Reddy, Suraram Pratap Reddy and R. Narayana Reddy at Tank Band.

The Chief Minister also promised to allot 10 acres of land for Reddy Hostel on the city’s outskirts. Further, he announced Rs. 10 crore for the construction of new hostel building.

The meeting was also addressed by Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy, Lok Ayukt Justice Subhashan Reddy, Vishwa Hindu Parishad national president Raghava Reddy and others. (INN)
