KCR is a puppet in MIM’s hands: BJP

Telangana BJP on Friday accused the TRS government of becoming a puppet in the hands of Majlis and bowing to the demands of MP Asaduddin Owaisi.

Speaking to meida persons here, BJP floor leader in Telangana Assembly G Kishan Reddy alleged that the ruling party was trying to appease Majlis by succumbing to the demands of that party. The BJP took potshots at the KCR statement that MIM was a friendly party of the TRS. It is an insult to the people of Telangana that the CM made such remarks praising a party that was opposed to Telangana formation, Mr Reddy remarked.

He accused the TRS government of not celebrating Liberation Day on September 17 only due to pressure from MIM. The BJP chief accused KCR of dropping the idea of naming Vikarabad district as Anantagiri after MIM represented the government to retain the name of Vikarabad to the new district. The BJP leader also said it would be no wrong if Hyderabad was rechristened as Bhagyanagar when the names of other metro cities were changed.

Kishan Reddy said that Uniform Civil Code should be implemented in the country to give equal rights to women. (INN)
