KCR to revamp TRS politburo

Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has decided to revamp the politburo, the policy making body, of Telangana Rashtra Samithi.

Addressing the party’s Legislature Party meeting at Telangnaa Bhavan on Thursday, KCR said that the new politburo would have limited members and more active. He also directed the ministers and legislators to prepare the list of candidates to be appointed for party’s State and District Committees. He also gave nod for filling up vacant nominated posts. During the two-hour long meeting, KCR asked the party leaders to create awareness among the people about different welfare schemes being implemented by the State Government.

Briefing the media persons later, Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali, Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy, Energy Minister Jagadish Reddy and Government Chief Whip Koppula Eshwar said that the Chief Minister wants the party to be strengthened at grass root level. They said those serving the party for the last 14 years would be given due recognition by appointing them to State and District Committees.

They said that the State Government aims to complete all irrigation projects in the next three years while 2BHK houses would be given from Dussera festival. KCR said that the Water Grid works should be executed under the supervision of MLAs concerned and all leaders should play an active role in implementation of second phase of Mission Kakatiya works.

They also informed that the Chief Minister would convene an all-party meeting to discuss the change in design of Pranahita-Chevella project. However, KCR directed that the party leaders not to counter criticism of opposition parties and focus only on development. (INN)
