KCR vows to develop Khammam town

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao undertook a detailed visit of Khammam town on Monday and directed the officials to take immediate measures to resolve the problems being faced by the people.

As part of his two-day visit to the district, the Chief Minister reached Khammam at about 1 PM on Monday. He was received by Roads & Buildings Minister Tummala Nageshwara Rao, legislators and senior officials.

The Chief Minister then inspected the Khammam bus stand and observed that it was insufficient to handle the heavy flow of passengers. He directed the officials to identify a suitable place elsewhere for the construction of new bus stand. He also inspected the dumping yard in Danawaiguda and Ramanagutta slum. He assured the local residents that 2BHK houses would be constructed for all the deserving poor people.

KCR visited several places in a bus and enroute he interacted with the local resident to enquire about their problems. He also reviewed the works on by-pass road. KCR also inspected the Lakaram lake.

The Chief Minister later held a review meeting with the District Collector and heads of different departments on the issues concerning Khammam district. He interacted with the officials on the proposal to construct Integrated Collector Complex.

KCR will be doing a night halt in Khammam and would visit other places on Tuesday. He will also address a public meeting on Tuesday. (INN)
