Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chadrababau Naidu was welcomed by his Telangana counterpart at the Ayutha Maha Chandi Yagam at Erravalli here on the last day of the event. Naidu came to the site along with Deputy Chief Minister KE Krishna Murthy, Minister Ganta Srinivas Rao and Union Minister Sujana Chowdhary and participated in the homam and pujas.
KCR presented silver Chandi Matha idol to Naidu on the occasion. Chandrababu offered yagam material brought from Kanakadurga temple of Vijayawada. KCR took Chandrababu team, clad in yellow shawls, to the Yagasala and they made rounds of homam pit offering obeisance. Even as rituals were continuing both the chief ministers were seen talking about Yagam and its prominence. KCR prostrated at the Yaga Kundam at Purnahuthi time, and Naidu followed suit and took divine blessings. KCR draped himself in marigold dress, that was reportedly sent by Sringeri Pontiff Bharathi Tirtha Swamy.(NSS)
