KCR won’t forget the sacrifices of his old companions – Mahmood Ali

Hyderabad: The souvenir depicting the role of Movement for Peace and Justice, an outfit of Jamat-e-Islami was released by Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali, Dy. CM of Telangana State at a function held at FICCI Auditorium, Red Hills. The function was organized by MPJ. It was presided over by Mr. Hamid Mohammed Khan, former President of MPJ and Ameer of Jamat-e-Islami. The function was attended by Prof. Kodandaram, Chairman Telangana Joint Action Committee, Mr. M. Veda Kumar, Mr. Hamid Husain Suttari, Mr. Syed Tariq Qadri, Mr. Raheemullah Khan Niyazi and others.

Mr. Mahmood Ali told that the people of Telangana will never forget the contribution of Jamat-e-Islami and the role of Movement for Peace and Justice during the Telangana Struggle. He further said that these two organizations have played a key role in strengthening TRS in Telangana. Before Jamat-e-Islami joined Telangana Movement, Andhra leaders were making an attempt to sabotage Telangana Movement saying that Muslims are not in favour of separate Telangana. With the participation of Jamat-e-Islami and MPJ, the history of Telangana Movement was all together changed.

He reiterated that Mr. KCR won’t forget the sacrifices made by his old colleagues. Addressing the gathering, Mr. Hamid Mohammed Khan gave the details of ups and downs of Telangana Movement. He said that MPJ was successful in stopping the festival which was proposed to be held on 17th September on the occasion of cessation of Hyderabad State.

Addressing the gathering, Prof. Kodandaram told that under the conspiracy, certain political parties were trying to give an impression that the Muslims are against Telangana Movement. During this period, Jamat-e-Islami and MPJ organized a grand public meeting at Nizam College to show that the Muslims are with Telangana Movement. Mr. M. Veda Kumar, Chairman of Telangana Resource Center gave the details of the contribution made by Jamat-e-Islami and MPJ. Secretary of MPJ, Mr. Saleem gave the detailed report on this occasion.
