Kejriwal, chief rumour-monger of Delhi: BJP

New Delhi: Attacking AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal over his criticism of the Centre’s demonetisation move, BJP today said his allegations were a pack of “shameless lies” and termed the chief minister as “chief rumour-monger of Delhi”.

“His allegations, like all his previous allegations, are a pack of shameless lies, which we don’t find the need to dignify with an answer,” BJP leader and Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said in a statement.

Kejriwal has alleged that the entire demonetisation exercise was aimed at waiving debts owed by big corporates through the money deposited by people, and that it would not unearth a single paisa of black money.

The AAP leader also dared the BJP to reveal details of its coffers and reiterated his demand that demonetisation be rolled back immediately.

“The person (Kejriwal) who can question the army for proof of the surgical strikes, can do anything. But it is also a bit sad to see his evolution from the Chief Minister of Delhi to Chief Rumour Monger of Delhi,” Prasad said.

Prasad said that after the demonetisation move, BJP was sure that some political parties with hoards of unaccounted money would be badly hurt.

But the anguish shown by AAP shows that it has been hurt the most and the reason is no surprise, he added.
