Kerala House issue: Delhi Police submits report to Home Ministry

New Delhi, Oct. 28 : The Delhi Police on Wednesday confirmed that it has submitted a report regarding the Kerala House incident to the Home Ministry.

“I cannot give you the details of the report, all I can say is that it (report) has been submitted to the Home Ministry,” Delhi Police Commissioner B.S. Bassi told reporters here

Kerala Chief Minister Oomen Chandy had slammed the Delhi Police and said that it was a government establishment they had barged into and not some ‘private’ hotel.

Delhi Police Commissioner B.S. Bassi, however, defended the raid on Kerala House, saying they had done nothing illegal and were well within their rights under the Agricultural Cattle Preservation Act 1994 to investigate.

Nearly 20 police officials went to Kerala House on Monday evening after Vishnu Gupta, a Hindu Sena leader, called and complained that the canteen at the state guest house was serving beef. (ANI)
