Kerala youth paid the price for posting picture of RSS activists having BEEF

Kollam: A Kollam youth’s bike was allegedly set ablaze by a group of RSS activists in vengeance after he posted on Facebook some pictures of them eating beef in a restaurant at Mangad.

According to a report published in Deccan Chronicle, B. Sajan, 21, of Mangad, who posted the photographs on Facebook on October 19, also had food in the nearby restaurant where the RSS activists allegedly ate beef.

For posting a picture on FB, the gang in retaliation set ablazed his bike by gaining entry in the premises of his house last Thursday night.

“My house is located in an RSS majority area and I could identify the persons who were behind the attack. But the police have not taken any action against them,” Sajan told DC.

The FB post by Sajan:

“I saw four men fleeing from my compound when I woke up by 11.30 p.m. hearing the dog bark. I waited until 12.30 a.m. and went to sleep. I later heard my mother screaming and flames were seen through the window“. Two men were seen running away and the dog was found locked inside the kennel,” he said.

Mr Muhammad Khan, Kilikolloor SI, said, “we have registered a case under IPC sections 435 and 34. The mobile numbers of the suspected persons involved have been given to the cyber cell as per the statement given by the complainant,” he told DC.

A case for destroying property was registered. In spite of the fact that the culprits have been identified by the complainant and are local residents, none has been taken into custody.
