Washington : Singer Kesha paid tribute to Christina Grimmie, who passed away after being shot at her concert in Orlando, Florida, on June 10.

Taking to her Instagram page, the 29-year-old singer shared a black-and-white picture of her with Grimmie and captioned it as, “I’m shocked and horrified. and angry. how many times are we as a nation going to read a horrific story like this, where someone uses a gun to kill an innocent person, and DO NOTHING” reports E! online.

She added, “I demand gun control. this is sickening. I am so so so sorry for Christina’s fans and family. my heart is with you. she was a beautiful spirit and will not be forgotten.”

Christina’s brother Marcus Grimmer took to his Facebook account to express his grief and said that she was more than a sister to him, adding she was a “superstar” and a “friend to all”.

He said, “She was my baby sister. She loved the Lord and her family and was always there for me and I honestly don’t know what I’ll do without her.”

Christina was shot by a gunman outside the concert venue. Her brother tackled the shooter, but the man shot himself to death on the scene. (ANI)
