Telangana Political JAC Chairman Prof. Kodandaram has stated that the Centre has to use its power and State government has to show interest to divide the common High Court.
Kodandaram participated in Advocates Maha Dharna at Indira Park here on Friday. Addressing the gathering, Kodandaram has expressed unhappiness over the suspension of 11 Judges and 11 judicial employees belongs Telangana. He said that it was not correct on the part of High Court. He questioned High Court as to how the Courts will exist if High Court suspends Judges and employees. Opining that the High Court took a decision on division of the judicial officials in hurry, Kodandaram said that the High Court image will be tarnished with the suspensions. He suggested to the High Court to review its decision of suspension of Judges and employees.
The lawyers resorted to dharnas protesting against the High Court’s irresponsible attitude, he said, opining that the High Court has to discuss with the people responsible for the division of the Court. He said that he came to Lawyers’ Dharna to extend his solidarity thinking that the Telangana lawyers were meeting out injustice. Asking the High Court to withdraw the suspension imposed on the judges and officials immediately, he suggested the Court to withdraw the cases filed on lawyers.
Stating that the lawyers’ protests were justified ones, Kodandaram made it clear that the entire Telangana was extending its support to the agitating lawyers. The lawyers stood as a reckoning force during Telangana movement. He advised lawyers not to take hurry burry decision losing patience and said that TJAC will extend its full support to the inspirable lawyers agitation. The lawyers from entire Telangana came to Hyderabad to participate in Maha Dharna. The police deployed huge force at Dharna Chowk. The police allowed only 1000 lawyers to Dharna Chowk. (NSS)
