KTR accuses Modi-Chandrababu duo of causing hurdles to development of State

Minister for Municipal Administration & Urban Development K Tarakarama Rao today showered praise on people of Karimnagar district for solidly standing behind the TRS during the separate State movement every time and saw that the flame of Telangana movement kept glowing in Alugunuru at that time.

The Minister was speaking at the extensive-level TRS workers’ meeting at Alugunuru on Saturday. Stating that the heroic people of Telangana region wrested separate State from the then Congress-led UPA government, KTR exhorted the people to apply their minds as what has to be done for transforming the infant State into Bangaru Telangana. Excoriating the Opposition parties for relentlessly criticizing the government mischievously, KTR pointed out that there were no officials for the administration for first ten months after formation of the new State. Out of 33 months, the TRS government dispensed administration smoothly without even adequate number of officials for ten months, he said, adding that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was brainwashed by AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, was responsible for this sort of situation. Narendra Modi, who lent his ears to Chandrababu Naidu, did not effect division of officials between the two Telugu States even in ten months, which could have been done in just ten minutes, he bemoaned.

Charging the Union government with unjustly merging seven mandals of Telangana State into Andhra Pradesh at the instance of Chandrababu Naidu, KTR said the infant State had lost 250 mw power from the Lower Sileru due to the ordinance issued in connection with the merger of seven mandals of Khammam district. He also alleged that Chandrababu Naidu created several hurdles for Telangana State consistently through Narendra Modi. However, the Telangana government set aside the hurdles and emerged as No. 1 State in the country. In this connection, KTR also pointed out that States like Uttarkhand and Jharkhand which were carved out in 2001 were still busy with constructing buildings for their State capitals.

In the TRS membership campaign, Zilla Parishad chairperson Tula Uma, MP Vinod, MLA Rasamayi Balkishan and others were present. (NSS)
