Urban Development Minister K Taraka Rama Rao has appealed people to participate voluntarily in Hyderabad Haritha Haram (tree plantation drive) to be held on July 11, from 10 am to 12 noon.
Conducting a review meeting along with the officials of GHMC and HMDA, the state minister said that the plantation programme is being organised under the slogan one person one sapling to make the city green and pollution free. He informed that 25 lakh saplings have been kept ready for plantation.
Mr. Rao appealed people belonging to all walks of life to participate voluntarily in the programme. He directed the officials to open website and issue toll free number for the convenience of public.
