KTR flays Chintala’s water scheme jibe

Hyderabad: Municipal Administration Minister KT Rama Rao today ridiculed BJP member Chintala Ramachandra Reddy as an angry young man. KTR said though he thought that the BJP senior leader was a wise man, the latter made unworthy remarks.
During a debate on demands during budget session in Telangana Legislature Assembly here on Tuesday, Ramachandra Reddy alleged that the government was trying to do favour to some companies in allocating works of the flagship program of Mission Bhagiratha. The comments were understood to have aimed at water works lacking transparency paving way for involving irregularities.
Annoyed at the comments, the IT Minister took serious exception saying that the member, who is supposed to make meaningful comments, was indulging in emotional talk which was not expected. KTR further ridiculed the BJP leader for making some meaningless remarks and said he was proving himself as an angry young man. Any member in the House should get complete information and knowledge on the schemes and then talk, he said. “Our aim is to provide safe drinking water to every household and the Opposition members should not come in the way”, KTR suggested.
The Minister asked the members not to carry out misinformation campaign on the flagship programs, which are being allotted in a transparent manner of calling open tenders. “The BJP leader lacks knowledge of tender process and was making false comments”, he charged. The government has taken every step to allot tenders online without giving a chance to any sort of misinterpretations, the Minister stated. (NSS)
