Annoyed at potholes, pits and craters left uncovered after digging on the city roads which are drawing flak from public and political parties, Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister today expressed serious displeasure are the GHMC officials.
At a high level review meeting with officials concerned on the city roads he pulled the engineering and other officials for sheer negligence. The Minister reprimanded the engineering officials stating that they should change their style of functioning and discharging duties. The officials should immediately take up repair works if they have any commitment, he said. MAUD Minister literally took them to task for bad maintenance of the roads causing serious traffic jams and water clogging besides causing much inconvenience to people and vehicle users. The Minister asked the officials to submit a report on the city roads and steps being taken to smooth flow of traffic. The City roads, he said, are in bad shape and may invite public ire he fumed.
