KTR lays foundation for SEC office


Minister for IT & Industries K Tarakarama Rao today laid foundation stone for State Election Commission office complex at Gachibowli here.

The government will spend Rs 7.25 crore for the SEC office building. The government released Rs 7.5 crore. A big block admeasuring 25000 sft will be built to store electronic voting machines (EVMs). The government will have to spend Rs 17 crore for construction of office building, staff quarters and housing facility for the Commissioner’s office and a conference hall. It was proposed to complete the work in 18 months and the Centre will extend some financial assistance.
