KTR promises to make ‘Numaish’ a global event

Industries Minister K. Tarakarama Rao on Sunday promised to promote ‘Numaish’, the All India Industrial Exhibition, as a global event on par with Dubai Shopping Festival.

Speaking after inaugurating 77th AIIE at Exhibition Grounds, KTR said that the State Government would continue its support to the annual exhibition which attracts lakhs of visitors. He said steps would be taken to attract more number of tourists and international visitors to the Numaish.

KTR said that the process to give Exhibition Grounds on 99 year lease to All India Industrial Exhibition Society was almost completed and the land would be handed over to the society soon. It may be mentioned that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao had promised to give ownership of Exhibition Grounds to Society while inaugurating the Numaish two years ago.

KTR, along with Finance Minister Etala Rajender inaugurated a mobile ATM of a cooperative bank. Later, the ministers, along with officials of Exhibition Society took a ride on mini-train.

This year about 2500 stalls have been set up in the ‘Numaish’ which would continue for 45 days. (INN)
