IT and Panchayat Raj Minister K Taraka Rama Rao today wooed Barbers Community by offering all help and support for their profession.

Speaking at a thanks-giving program here on Tuesday, KTR said the Barbers Community had played a key role in achieving the statehood for Telangana. “Indeed, the TRS Government will offer adequate support to them for making a better living”, KTR stated. “Our Government is of poor people and will sure come to their rescue and help them”, he remarked.

The TRS leader criticized the previous governments for trying to create hurdles and confusion among the people during the statehood movement. “Despite such obstacles and much difficulty, we have achieved the statehood and addressing the problems. Though divided as regions after bifurcation, we the Telugu people are living together with brotherhood and amity”, the minister said. KTR also said the TRS Government disproved the misinformation campaign continued by other political parties that Telangana will not get investments and will plunge into gloom due to non-availability of power. “But now industries and businessmen of international repute are coming to the State with huge investments for their potential growth, the IT Minister said.

The hassle-free new industrial policy was getting accolades from across the nation and some States are replicating it, he said. Apart from beginning a slew of welfare schemes like pensions, fine rice to hostels, 6 kg per head Re one a kg fine rice for ration card holders, the State government was implementing Kalyana Lakshmi and Shadi Mubarak schemes and providing Rs 51,000 assistance to poor families towards girls marriages. Soon after coming to power, the TRS leadership proved it that we can overcome a big crisis of power in the state and addressed it by purchasing adequate power from other states, he said. KTR also stated that the government offered 43 per cent of fitment for the government employees. The government was focusing on welfare of the poor and deprived classes. (NSS)
