Lalu’s brother-in-law Subhash Yadav joins Pappu Yadav party

RJD president Lalu Prasad’s youngest brother-in-law Subhash Yadav today joined Janadhikar Party of Pappu Yadav.

Subhash Yadav joined JAP at a ‘milan samaroh’ in the presence of Madhepura MP Pappu Yadav.

Along with Subhash Yadav, a number of leaders from other parties including LJP state general secretary Lallan Singh, JD(U) MLA Meena Dwivedi and some Congress and JD(U) leaders joined JAP, a constituent of third front in the Bihar Assembly elections.

Later, Subhash Yadav told PTI that he joined hands with Pappu Yadav to strengthen the fight for social justice.

“I wish to see Pappu Yadav as Chief Minister of Bihar,” he said.

Subhas Yadav and his elder brother Sadhu Yadav, were the two prominent faces of RJD during its 15-year rule from 1990 to 2005 in the state.

The youngest among the three brothers of Rabri Devi, Subhas had quit RJD in 2010 and unsuccessfully fought the last Assembly elections from Vikramganj seat.

Sadhu Yadav is also no longer with Prasad and has launched his own party Gareeb Janata Dal-Secular.

Subhash Yadav, however, refused to speak anything against Lalu whom he addressed as “guardian” and “political mentor,” but came down heavily on Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and said for ten years he harmed the interests of the Yadav castemen and has now joined hands with Lalu Prasad for the sake of Yadav vote.

Addressing the ‘milan samaroh,” JAP chief Pappu Yadav slammed the RJD chief saying “his politics does not go beyond happiness of his family.
