Hyderabad: During Congress regime, in the Municipal limits of Warangal, Pattas were given to Imams and Muazzins but possessions were not given to them so far. District Congress President, Mr. N. Rajinder Reddy and City Minorities Department President, Mr. Mohammed Ayub and others presented a memorandum to Collector of Warangal requesting for giving possessions.
It may be mentioned that in Hanamkunda, Khazipet and Warangal 286 Imams and Muazzins were given pattas by the then BCs Welfare Minister, Mr. Raju Saraih in KR Garden Function Hall, Deshaipet Road, Pochamma Maidan. Present on this occasion was Collector of Warangal, Mr. Rahul Bujja. This issue is pending for the past so many years. Collector of Warangal, V. Karuna issued orders to tehsildars of Warangal and Hanamkunda to give possessions of lands to Imams and Muazzins
