Last date for Hajj applications extended upto February 6

Hyderabad: Telangana State Hajj Committee on Tuesday said that the last date for submission of Hajj application forms for Haj-2017 has been extended up to February 6. As per the earlier schedule of Central Hajj Committee the last date for submission of Hajj application forms was January 24. Issuance and submission of Hajj applications began from January 2.

Special Officer Telangana Hajj Committee Prof. S A Shukoor had made representation with the Central Hajj Committee for extension of date.

Unusual rush was witnessed on Tuesday at Hajj House. Nearly 1000 tokens were issued by the Hajj Committee; of which 600 people submitted application; remaining went off after they received information regarding extension of date.

Prof. Shukoor revealed that 13747 applications were submitted so far from Hyderabad itself. Of which 361 were submitted under first reserved category while 1953 were submitted under second reserved category.
