Laxman seeks action on Uniform Services Rules to teachers of both Telugu States

Telangana State BJP president Dr K. Laxman has submitted a petition to Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh for taking necessary action on Uniform Services Rules of both the Telugu States.

It may be within the Ministry’s knowledge that in respect of the application of four Unified Services Rules to teachers working in government services and under various Panchayat Raj departments, the Apex Court

had issued directions in September last to both the Centre and the two

Telugu Statesn to workout the modalities. In view of the delay in the matter, the deserving teaching staff has been deprived of their due promotions causing frustration among them. This was also impacting the quality of education in the State as the services of over a lakh teaching staff getting stagnated as the whole system was working with “in-charge” officers. (NSS)
