Municipal Administration Minister KT Rama Rao today directed the officials concerned to take measures to illuminate Municipalities and Corporations with LED Bulbs across the state.
The minister held a meeting with officials and ESSL company (for LED Bulbs supply) MD Saurabh Kumar. Stating that the officials should examine to fit LED Bulbs in all corporations KTR said that all the street lights under GHMC purview should get LED bulbs by Sankranthi festival. He asked CMDA Danakishore to ensure that 4.5 lakh LED Bulbs are fitted in the GHMC. MAUD Minister further asked the company to implement the agreement to see that bills should be reduced to 50 per cent by using modern gadgets for the illumination of the corporations and municipalities.
He also said that there shall not be any complaints that the lights are put off or get dim automatically at some places. Saurabh Kumar said that they will make use of modern equipment will submit a report on using of energy efficient pump sets as part of the project. The GHMC limits will get illuminated with LED Bulbs by Sankranti he added. (NSS)
