New Delhi : LeEco, formerly known as Letv is gearing up to unveil its official and highly anticipated grand launch in India on January 20 at Kingdom of Dreams, Gurgaon.
According to the reports, the Internet giant has partnered with Facebook, the social media titan to provide live streaming of the launch event. This is estimated to reach approximately 100 million audiences, setting a new record for the widest coverage on a social media platform.
Starting October last year, the company’s India Facebook account has garnered nearly 1,500,000 followers with at least 95 percent being active users. It reportedly took only two months to secure 1.4 million likes without officially entering the market, making it the fastest growing phone brand page in India.
In addition, LeEco has more than 80,000 followers on Twitter and manages its own fans forum called LeMe Community, which has a large number of active users. The followers of LeEco who called themselves Superfans are keenly tuned into the company updates and eagerly awaiting the launch of Superphones this Wednesday.
Thus, the collaboration with Facebook will tremendously increase the outreach to a wider range of audiences as the live streaming of the launch event on the hugely popular social media platform according to reliable sources, is expected to set a record, covering 100 million online viewers.
LeEco, which has been hailed as a market disruptor and game changer, is finally making its way to the Indian market. Early this month, the company had showcased in a select preview event, a series of its smart devices-3D Helmet, Bluetooth Headphone and Super Cycle, the prices of which are yet to be announced.
Based on a teaser released on its official Twitter account with the silhouette of two phones, LeEco is very likely to be launching two of its flagship Superphones in India. (ANI)
