Left to hold campaign in Delhi to defend people’s ‘constitutional rights’

New Delhi : The Left Parties are holding a three day campaign across the nation from February 23- 25, to defend people’s constitutional rights, which are ‘under assault’ by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the Bharatiya Janata Party ( BJP).

CPI (M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury on Monday said that his party suspects that the government is not willing for the legislative to pass.

“No all-party meeting held on specific bill after this government came to power. The incidents in JNU hide dipper agenda of the RSS backed by the Modi government to stifle all dissent. The Left Parties and the progressive forces are a special target,” he said.

This campaign will be held by organizing public meetings and distributing leaflets.

The protest will conclude with a massive dharna at the Jantar Mantar. (ANI)
