Left Parties Call to Make Sept 2 Strike a Success

The Left parties, which held a meeting at Maqdoom Bhavan here today, have given a call to all sections of the people and peoples’ organizations to participate in the Nation-wide strike on September 2, to protest the anti-worker policies of the NDA Government at the Centre.

CPI state Assistant Secretary S Venkateswarlu, CPI-M State Executive member T Jyothi, CPI ML New Democracy leader V Venkatramaian, CPI ML New Democracy leader K Goverdhan, SUCI leader Murahari, RSP leader R Govindu, CPI Liberation’s D Rajesh, MCPI (U) V Upender Reddy were among those who participated in the meeting.

The leaders alleged that the Narendra Modi Government was amending the Labour Laws unilaterally with an aim to benefit the Corporate capitalist sections and against the interests of the working class. They regretted that the Modi Government has failed to curb the spiraling prices of essential commodities during the past 15 months. (NSS)
