Legal opinion suggested on Dharmana Prasad case

The case of CBI chargesheet against state minister Dharmana Prasad took serious turn when Andhra Pradesh Governor ESL Narasimhan returned the file pertaining to the State Cabinet’s decision not to prosecute the Road and Buildings Minister Dharmana Prasad without approval. Passing a resolution in the cabinet the state government recommended that Dharmana Prasad should not be prosecuted in the case relating to allotment of land to Vodarevu and Nizampatnam Ports and Industrial Corridor (Vanpic) project.

Governor ESL Narasimhan is said to have returned the file without approval and directed the government to seek further legal opinion on the issue.
