My life is incomplete without music: Ayushmann Khurrana

Mumbai: Actor-singer Ayushmann Khurrana says his life is incomplete without music, which is the essence of the film industry.

“Music is the essence of film industry. When I was in school between dance and music, I chose music. In college between music and theatre, I chose theatre. For me acting and singing are parallel vectors,” Ayushmann told reporters here at the launch of the single “Ik Vaari”.

“It would be right to say that I am a mixture of both actor and singer. My life is incomplete without music,” he said.

Ayushmann has sung a single “Ik Vaari” which is directed by Pradeep Sarkar and produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T Series.

The makers of the song have also rehashed few lines from the original “Aashiqui” song.

“It’s for the first time that I have worked on a rehash or remix of a song. The songs that I have done so far are not commercial, they (songs) have been rustic. The ‘Aashiqui’ part adds more to the zing,” Ayushmann added.

The actor feels privileged to be directed by Sarkar.

“I love Bengali people, I like Kolkata. It seems I have a special connection with Bengali culture,” he added.

Towards the end of the song the famous “Aashiqui” pose is recreated by the “Vicky Donor” actor and model Ayesha Sharma romancing under a jacket.

“I was not intimidated doing the ‘Aashiqui pose. I am delighted to be working with Ayushmann and directed by Pradeep Sarkar,” Ayesha said.
