Arizona: Muhammad Ali’s family has revealed that Ali suffered no pain in his final moments and told that he was ‘in no pain and going to Allah.’
Ali’s younger brother, Rahaman Ali, 72, a former heavyweight boxer, said:
“He said to me ‘I’m in no pain. No pain. Don’t cry for me Rahaman. l’m going to be with Allah. I made peace with God, I’m OK.’
“He said to me, shaking, ‘Rahaman, how do I look?’ I said ‘You look the same to me.’
“He was a wonderful angel. I miss him but I will see him again in heaven.”
Accoring to Telegraph.co.uk, Hana Ali, Ali’s daughter said that everyone gathered by the bedside hugged Ali and said goodbye. She said:
“All of us were around him hugging and kissing him and holding his hands, chanting the Islamic prayer.
“All of his organs failed but his heart wouldn’t stop beating. For 30 minutes his heart just kept beating. No-one had ever seen anything like it. It was a true testament to the strength of his spirit and will.”
